Solid Design & Detail played an instrumental role in the success of the TriMet Bike & Ride project by leveraging our extensive experience in Fabrication, Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS) and 3D CAD software. The shelters provide secure parking for 74 bikes with innovative features like BikeLink keycard access and security cameras. This project addresses the increasing demand for reliable bike-transit connections in Portlland, Oregon. Key to this initiative is the strategic choice of locations, starting with Sunset Transit Center and Goose Hollow due to their popularity among cyclists connecting to transit. TriMet plans to expand the Bike & Ride network, further enhancing the region's cycling infrastructure and sustainable transportation options.

SDD supported the 3D design and detailed this project in its entirety. This included complete 3D BIM Models, Shop Drawings, Assembly and Erection Drawings, Bill of Materials, Sheetmetal Flat Patterns and .DXF files to CNC all steel plates.
